About search

Everything on the site in one index: the currencies and their pages, the converter and the other tools, blog articles, and the questions and answers themselves. Typing a currency code or a name, such as CHF or yen, takes you to that currency page, while typing a topic finds the article or the answer that deals with it.

Try the three-letter code instead of the name, or a single word instead of a phrase; the index matches text that appears on the site, not synonyms. If the currency genuinely is not here, it is probably not in the ECB reference list. The sitemap lists every page in one place and is often quicker than guessing a second search term.

The query stays in the page address so that a results page can be shared or bookmarked, and it appears in server logs like any other request; those are kept for up to ninety days. There is no account, no search history stored against you, and nothing you type is used to change what you are shown afterwards.
